Kristina & Josh

The invitation appropriately stated that shoes were optional for this casual backyard ceremony and reception. Truly delightful, Kristina and Josh live just outside Utah’s Zion National Park.

Their original plans of a small, intimate affair went out the door when 140 family and friends jumped at the chance to join them in this beautiful setting.

Colorado’s late spring rains followed me to Utah. The day began with rain and clouds. The sky cleared at noon for the set-up to begin. But, returned late in the afternoon for a bit.

The clouds opened just in time for the festivities to begin. And begin they did! Kristina and Josh treated their guests to the fresh faire of Springdale’s Parallel 88 Restaurant, music from a local bluegrass band and a dessert buffet with chocolate cake, cheesecake and carrot cake.

It was a pleasure to spend the day with them and making sure things went off without a hitch. Whether prompting them on timing of the ceremony or making each of them a plate of food, I was on hand to assist throughout the day and evening. Incredibly gracious, Kristina and Josh were happy to spend the day with their family and friends, and each other.

Congratulations Kristina and Josh, it was an honor to be part of your day!
