design inspiration: a set of wingback chairs covered in burnt orange velvet

It may be true that all good things begin over a cup of coffee or tea. It’s often in such a setting that we meet clients for the first time. It’s the perfect accompaniment to a good book or the Sunday paper–two of my favorite things. And, it’s the jumpstart to many good days for so many of us.

In this case, it provided the setting for a glint of inspiration that turned into a beautiful design. I met with Cori from Cori Cook Floral Design for a cup of coffee and bit of catch-up one day. We found ourselves daydreaming about how fun it would be to pull together some local wedding vendors and create a photo shoot.

As we began discussing the ins and outs of the shoot’s design, a set of wingback chairs covered in burnt orange velvet caught our eye. They were both classically elegant and rustic. It was that asthetic that we aimed to recreate.
